A cavity output coupler mirror is a semi-transparent mirror used in a laser resonator cavity to extract a portion of the circulating light, creating a usable laser beam. It works in conjunction with a highly reflective mirror at the other end of the cavity. Together, these two mirrors form an optical cavity that traps and amplifies light. The output coupler’s precise reflectivity is crucial for the laser’s performance.

These cavity output couplers make partial reflection at 400-700nm 0-deg AOI and transmission of a portion. The back surface has Anti-Reflection Coating @ 400-700nm. Unlike the high reflector, it is designed to be partially reflective. Its reflectivity can range from as low as 1% to over 99%, depending on the laser’s design. A portion of the light is transmitted through the mirror, forming the laser’s output beam, while the rest is reflected back to continue the amplification process.
