OPTICS / LENSES / BALL , HALF-BALL, TRUNCATED LENSES
Ball lenses are highly polished spheres made of optically transparent homogeneous materials. Carefully controlled manufacturing process produces spheres with precise diameters and unsurpassed surface quality. Ball lenses are great tools for improving signal coupling between fibers, emitters and detectors.

8.1) Crystal Quartz Ball Lens Half Ball Lens
Optical Quality Cultured Crystal Quartz has high transmission in ultraviolet(UV), visible and infrared(IR) spectrum from 190 to 2900 nm. The utilization of Crystal quartz is conventional in fabrication of finished optics such as laser beamsplitters, AO elements, polarizing and spectral optics, prisms, windows, lenses in the ultraviolet(UV) band.
Crystal quartz is also widely used in opto-electronics, precision engineering instruments and optical components. Crystal Quartz also has uses involving normally polarized laser beams, Brewster windows, birefringent filters. Crystal quartz features birefringence, ability to rotate plane polarized light, high damage threshold and resistance to scratching. Optical quality Crystal Quartz Substrates is virtually bubble and inclusion free.

8.2) Sapphire Crystal Lens (Ball/Half-ball)
As the hardest one of all the oxide crystals, Sapphire has the combination of optical and physical properties that make it the best choice for a variety of demanding applications. Sapphire maintains its strength even at high temperature. It has good thermal properties, excellent electrical and dielectric properties and is resistant to chemical attack. These properties encourage the use of Sapphire in aggressive environments where long-term reliability, high optical transmission or good strength is required.

8.4) BK7 Glass Ball Lens Half Ball Lens
Ball lenses are highly polished spheres made of optically transparent homogeneous materials. Carefully controlled manufacturing process produces spheres with precise diameters and unsurpassed surface quality. Ball lenses are great tools for improving signal coupling between fibers, emitters and detectors.

8.4) UVFS Glass Ball Lens Half Ball Lens
Ball lenses are highly polished spheres made of optically transparent homogeneous materials. Carefully controlled manufacturing process produces spheres with precise diameters and unsurpassed surface quality. Ball lenses are great tools for improving signal coupling between fibers, emitters and detectors.
UVFS glass comes with low refractive index, much better thermal stability and wider transmission band from UV to NIR.
