Silver coated mirrors have the highest reflectance in the visible spectrum of all the metal coated mirrors. In order to protect from oxidation these BK7 silver coated mirrors have an protective overcoat of SiO. With the exception of the UV, silver coated mirror is an ideal choice for high reflectivity from 500 nm to 2.0um.
