Protected Gold is the most efficient reflective coating over the entire IR range. A protective overcoat is layered over the gold to make it damage resistant and easy to clean. Our Protected Gold coating is made by using an overcoat of SiO which allows R > 98% from 1um to 5um and R > 95% from 800nm to 10um.
